It is quite clear why the content of the banners of the peaceful rallies of February 1988 changed especially after the Sumgait massacre.
Our fight was constitutional; our people's revolt was expressed with peaceful rallies and marches, while the ideological rebellion was demonstrated on banners, which provide a rich material for research.
Especially notable is the creative aspect of the content of the banners: we could often find in them quotations from our famous people, especially from the verses of our poets. This also speaks to the fact that our writers have created a correct literature for us...
