In his memoirs, Stepan Ghorghanyan described the period when the country had everything except national and state interests. The country was plundered with the appetite of a predator.
Kars is not just a toponym for us or a place of a past kingdom. Above all, Kars is a criterion of dignity for us, which we lost, I hope, temporarily... As V. Harutyunyan says, "On October 30, 1920, history put a mirror in front of the Armenian people and said: 'Armenian people, look in this mirror, see your image, and know yourself'." It's murderous. The governor presented our mirror reflection to us.

- Vladimir Harutyunyan
