How can Armenians persevere in the current geopolitical conditions? We offer the means. In 1943, during the terrible days of the war, the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR was founded on the basis of Armfan, the Armenian branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
The first institutions of the Armenian Academy belonged to the Armenology field; these were the institutes of literature, language, and history. We can say that the President of the Academy was also from this field: Hovsep Orbely was an archaeologist, orientalist, and public figure.
